It is entirely up to you, but I recommend booking your trial at least 8weeks before, as you could change your mind on what hairstyle or make up you want and may need to book another trial. Also try and fit it in with a dress fitting so you can see it all together, but please let me no at least a month before when you want to book as I get full with other services.
What days are available for my trial?morning
The days that are currently available for your trial are Tuesday mornings, Wednesday day/night, Friday day and Saturday morning/afternoons however I’m usually full with a wedding on a Saturday morning.
How long will the trial last?
The hair trial is approximately 1.5 hour, half an hour is for the consultation and the other hour is where you get one hair style to try you can however have an extra hour which is an extra £15 if you would like to try 2 hair styles but please let me no as I have to book the time out, which will still need paying for if you change your mind. if your wanting to book another trial on a separate day then the charge is £40.
Make up trial usually lasts around 2 hours, as this is a very personal thing I would like to have enough time to get it right, adding more or less if needs be. For hair and make up usually around 3 1/2 hours.
How should I prepare my hair for my trial on the day?
Please wash you hair the night of your trial/wedding day, just make sure its clean for me on the day and dry!! I will prep your hair with products before I start so it’s easier for me to work with.
How should I prepare myself for my make up trial?
Please make sure your skin is make up free, with no products on as I will be prepping your skin, unless discussed otherwise. No mascara on, especially the wedding morning as we work on a time scale, and great option is to wear a white top on your trial.
How far do you travel?
Please let me no where your wanting your hair or make up done the morning of your wedding , as this will affect your booking , I only travel around an hour or slightly over from la20rs. Lancashire, lake district and surrounding areas.
What time will you arrive at the venue?
This will vary on the time of your ceremony and how big the party is and what style your bridesmaids are having as some hair up dos take longer than others, at the most I give myself 1 hour per style, I can provide an extra early start (around 6) or if you do not wish for this then a second stylist may be required. Confirmation of the time will be discussed on your trial day.
Do I need to pay a deposit ?
Yes the deposit will i cover the cost of your trial which is non refundable unless I cancel, this will secure your date up until the trial.
Due to coronavirus , deposits will still not be refunded unless I cancel, If the wedding date is postponed and I can fit your date in then there will be no other charge I will simply just move your date over.
After the trial a 50% deposit from the day amount is taken (this is non refundable unless i cancel) , this will ensure your date is still secure. You will have 7 days to pay this, if I do not hear anything from you after 7 days I will assume your not happy and your date will be released.
The next payment will be the other 50% of the days payments plus any petrol fees, we require all payments to be paid 72 hours before the wedding day no earlier or later please.
The petrol cost is charged at 50p per mile this is after a 40mile round trip free, so 20miles there and 20miles back. This is estimated from my home at La2ors, if an additional stylist is needed it may involve a sub charge to cover their petrol fees.
Are there any other charges?
Parking charges must be paid, I will ask on the day if that is the case. If I get a parking ticket and this is somewhere that has been suggested to me from yourself or the bridal party this must also be paid.
If you have a larger party more than 3 people = 6 services as that is the pushing up to the maximum I can do before a 1pm ceremony which is about 45 mins per service ( depending if you want an early start , or what time you want to be ready for) , then a second stylist or Mua is needed and the package doesn’t applies for the rest of the party as someone else would need to help and it would go off their prices. However the bride is still entitled to the package price and the trial package price when booking hair and make up with me.
So for example , if the bride booked hair and make up for herself she would get the package price, and then if you booked 3 additional hair services for your bridesmaids they would pay the standard hair prices, this would then equal 5 services. i can usually do about 6-7 services but it all depends on timings and what you guys wants. Please note the more people you have for hair and or make up the earlier the start time. I don’t come out to a wedding for less than 3 services. Max £140 spend (without petrol cost) but you can add guests to this who are staying where the bridal party is.
Due to the coronavirus I’m currently struggling to find someone to help with hair and make up , everyone is very busy who I would normally ask so it is up to you guys to find your own , please consider my max services before I come out. (this is mainly for 2021, I may be able to get someone to help for 2022).
Please make sure the additional guests are in the same place as to where I will be doing the hair I wont be traveling to do individual guests as there wouldn’t be enough time for that.
Any other questions don’t hesitate to contact me. Most of this will be discussed on your trial day.
